Druid Hills / Emory Real Estate
The development of Druid Hills was begun in 1890 by Joel Hurt and primarily designed by the founder of landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted. Most of the tract was completed between 1910 and 1935 by the Druid Hills Land Company. Most of the features of Olmsted’s original plan were retained and Druid Hills emerged as the most successful affluent residential community in Atlanta.
Home styles are mostly two-story traditional with Tudors and Georgian most popular. Home prices have remained stable because of Druid Hill’s close proximity to Emory University and Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Egelston) and downtown.
